Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the European Economic Area) to use the Service. By using DollarSeeds, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of someone else, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

3. What DollarSeeds is

DollarSeeds is a personal budgeting and money-tracking tool built around the 50/30/20 framework (Needs, Wants, and Goals) and integrated with faith-based educational content. It lets you record income, expenses, savings and debt goals, and progress through lessons. DollarSeeds helps you organize and reflect on information you provide; it does not connect to your bank, move money, or execute any financial transactions.

4. Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice

The budgets, calculations, categories, suggestions, and educational content in DollarSeeds are general in nature and do not take into account your specific circumstances. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. Before making any financial, investment, tax, or legal decision, you should consult a qualified professional who is licensed to advise you. We make no guarantee that using DollarSeeds will lead to any particular financial outcome.

5. Faith-based content

DollarSeeds includes lessons and reflections that draw on Christian teaching about stewardship and money. This content is provided for educational and devotional purposes, reflects the perspective of the developer, and is not intended as religious instruction, doctrine, or counseling from any church or organization. You are free to engage with or disregard this content as you see fit.

6. Your account

To use core features you create an account with your email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
• Introduce malware or attempt to breach security or authentication measures;
• Copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

8. Your data and content

The financial information and other content you enter remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. We recommend keeping your own records; while we take reasonable measures to protect your data, you are responsible for maintaining backups of anything important to you.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, logo, design, software, and educational content (excluding content you enter and any third-party or scriptural material), is owned by Lucas Fracasso Custodio and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, PostHog, and Sentry) and is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control them.

11. Fees and subscriptions

DollarSeeds may be offered free of charge or may include paid features or subscriptions. If paid features are offered, pricing and billing will be presented to you before purchase and processed by the applicable app store (Apple or Google), subject to that store's payment terms. Any subscriptions renew and can be managed or cancelled through your app store account settings. Except where required by law or the applicable store's policies, fees are non-refundable.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that calculations or content will be accurate or complete, or that the Service will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Lucas Fracasso Custodio be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, savings, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars (US $20). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lucas Fracasso Custodio from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Account & data deletion section of our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

16. App store terms

Apple App Store

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. You agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government restricted-parties list.

Google Play

If you download the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and us, not Google, and Google is not responsible for the Service.

17. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida for any dispute not subject to arbitration or small-claims resolution, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
